Dance Live! 2026

Our talented dancers took part in the Dance Live! 2026 competition last week at The Swan Theatre in High Wycombe. After months of dedicated planning, choreography and practice, the group delivered a powerful performance centred on Rosa Parks' refusal to move, a quiet act of incredible courage, which changed history. We were particularly moved by the exceptional sensitivity students showed toward the theme, earning them high praise from staff and parents of other schools for how brilliantly the concept was executed.

Beyond their performance, our students were fantastic ambassadors for Hertswood. They spent the day encouraging other performers and even joined a dance circle with other schools to celebrate their shared passion. Mrs Jamieson, Head of Dance, noted that their behaviour was perfect from the early morning rehearsals until the singing on the minibus home. We are incredibly proud of their teamwork and the joy they brought to the stage.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make a production of this scale possible. We are looking forward to sharing the video once it is released, and to a special screening in school for students and staff to celebrate these brilliant performers!
