🏆 Before Easter, #Hertswood celebrated our Year 11 students for their Mock exam achievements, with prizes for Best Grade and Most Progress. We are so proud of the dedication they are showing as they prepare for their GCSE exams. Good luck, Year 11! ✍️✨
🏖️ Last week, 44 of our Year 11 Geographers visited Brighton for their GCSE fieldwork. They investigated longshore drift, erosion, and beach profiles to see how human management affects the coast. A brilliant day of sunshine and science for our #Hertswood students! ☀️
🐾 We are delighted to introduce new School Dog, Chilli! At just eight weeks old, he is already a hit with students and staff. Chilli joins Ada in supporting the wellbeing of our #Hertswood community, from student walks to welcoming visitors. 🐶
🤝 Important visit for Year 9 at #Hertswood as Louise, Chris & Tommy joined us to discuss the Prevent campaign. Our guests were so impressed by the focus of our students, who are currently exploring similar themes of justice in their study of ‘Terror Kid’ by Benjamin Zephaniah.
🏆 Well done to all #Hertswood award winners in our assemblies at the end of the Spring Term, with more nominations from staff members than ever before!

💎🧁 Mrs Gill hosted a special tea party for #Hertswood's first Diamond Award winners of the year! These six students have already earned over 2,000 House Points. Joined by school dog Ada 🐶, they enjoyed an array of well-deserved treats.
✨ Mr Gillett hosted a Year 7 assembly at #Hertswood on achieving excellence through hard work, sharing the story of an 'Expert in a Year' table tennis player. Students even took on him and Miss Elvins in a mini-match to win Amazon vouchers! 🏓

✨ #Hertswood dancers were incredible at Dance Live! 2026 at The Swan Theatre. They performed a moving piece about the courage of Rosa Parks, with great sensitivity and teamwork. We are so proud of their dedication and the support they showed other schools. 🏆

📚 Yesterday #Hertswood celebrated World Book Day 2026 in style! From Matilda to Harry Potter, students and staff showcased incredible costumes to celebrate a love of reading. Well done to our staff winner, Maleficent! Year 7 winners will be announced next Wednesday. 📖✨
🫀🔬 Saffron Green Primary visited #Hertswood for a heart dissection workshop last week. As part of our transition offer, Year 6 students explored the four chambers and the aorta in our labs. We were impressed by their curiosity and engagement during this hands-on session!
💡 Year 8 have designed and manufactured impressive lamps in Product Design. From studying iconic movements like Pop Art to using CAD/CAM and vacuum forming, students showed great skill. Mrs Robertson is very proud of these high quality #Hertswood outcomes! 🛠️✨
