The information on this page is related to all exams taken at Hertswood Academy, including internal assessments. It contains important information for candidates and sets out clear expectations for exams.
Candidates are expected to read and adhere to the following guidance prior to the start of their course and before the start of every exam season. Candidates will receive this information electronically and during special exam assemblies.

Summer examinations 2025
The summer 2025 written exams timetable starts Thursday 1st May continues through to the final contingency day of Wednesday 25th June 2025.
CANDIDATES MUST REMAIN AVAILABLE UP TO AND INCLUDING WEDNESDAY 25th JUNE 2025, SHOULD EXAMINATIONS NEED TO BE RESCHEDULED.

Students will receive their personalised timetables during their Exams Assembly in March 2025
Exam certificates
Hertswood Academy holds students’ certificates for one year from receipt. After this time, certificates are destroyed. Duplicate certificates can be obtained directly from the awarding body for a fee.
Certificates are usually received by schools around November, but due to Year 11 internal assessments taking place early December, they are not available for distribution until January the following year.
