Into the Woods

Last week, thirty of our Year 9 students visited the Bridge Theatre in London for a spectacular matinee performance of Stephen Sondheim’s 'Into the Woods'. For many of our students, this was their very first experience of live theatre, and they represented Hertswood with pride through their impeccable behaviour and engagement.

Our students left the theatre feeling inspired by the production. Lillie-Grace noted, "It was the best set (and use of it) I've seen in a musical and watching it made me feel inspired as someone who is interested in acting." This sentiment was echoed by Esmerelda, who commented, "I really enjoyed the production. The set and costume design were stunning, the acting and vocals were amazing, and I left the theatre feeling really impacted."

It was a joy to see our students so captivated by the arts, with Deborah adding, "I was captivated as soon as the performance started. I hope I will be able to attend another drama in the future." We are delighted to provide these memorable opportunities that spark such passion in our young performers.
