We are incredibly proud to announce a strong set of results, with students achieving excellent grades across a wide range of subjects. We have seen outstanding individual performances, as well as a great overall picture of success. This year’s results reflect the dedication of both our students and our staff, who have worked tirelessly to adapt and overcome the challenges posed by recent years.

Highlight some of today’s exceptional stories, our Top 6 students have achieved 60 GCSEs between them, including:

  • Hashir Kaleem - 5 Grade 9s
  • Hugh McDonnell - 5 Grade 9s
  • Mustafa Dardeshi  - 4 Grade 9s
  • Leo Knowles - 3 Grade 9s
  • Sasha Nazaruk -  3 Grade 9s
  • Amy Hatton - 2 Grade 9s

These are just a few examples of many successes based on the hard work and commitment Hertswood’s students have shown. Every single young person should be proud of what they have accomplished.

100% of Biology students achieved Grades 9-4, with Physics, Chemistry, Product Design and Art all achieving above 70% Grades 9-4.

"We are so proud of all of our students," said Wanda Gill, Headteacher designate. "This year group has faced more obstacles than most, ending their primary journey during the pandemic, and their achievements today are a true reflection of their spirit and tenacity.”

Executive Headteacher designate, Peter Gillett, extends his deepest congratulations to all the students, and thanks our dedicated staff and supportive families who have played such a vital role in their success.

Following an excellent set of A-Level and vocational grades last week, we look forward to many of these students joining us in our Sixth Form to continue their learning journey with the Academy.
