Sports Day 2025

We had a fantastic Sports Day last Wednesday, filled with energy, teamwork, and brilliant sportsmanship! Hertswood students took part in a wide range of events throughout the day, competing for their Houses and for individual medals.

The morning kicked off with inter-House team sports, including football, basketball, rounders, dodgeball, table tennis, and dance. The excitement continued in the afternoon with our annual athletics events on the field. Students competed in everything from high jump and javelin to tug-of-war and a variety of running races, all earning crucial points towards the House Cup.

The positive atmosphere across the school was truly amazing, with students showing incredible team spirit and individual determination. A huge well done to the students who participated and made the day such a success! A special thank you to our dedicated PE faculty and all staff for making this wonderful event possible.

With the results all tallied, we congratulate Somerville on their overall win at the event to become Sports Cup Winners for 2025, with a total of 240 points. They were closely followed by Darwin with 220, Cavendish with 200, and Nuffield with 190.
