Tech of Tomorrow

Last week, our Headteacher, Peter Gillett, inspired Year 7 students with a fascinating assembly about technological convergence and its impact on their futures. He explored how once-separate technologies are now interconnected, shaping our lives and careers.

The students were actively involved, responding to questions and even winning Amazon vouchers for their contributions! Mr Gillett showcased his very first computer, a BBC Micro Model B from 1986, demonstrating just how far technology has come by comparing it to the power of a modern smartphone. The assembly also featured a surprise live drone demonstration, which was a real highlight!
