DT Club Branches Out

The Year 7 DT Club's tree project was a massive success. Students developed a range of valuable skills, including Styrofoam modelling, papier-mâché, refining models using various finishing techniques, and of course painting and decoration. They also explored sustainability by recycling paper for the tree base.

Looking ahead, in 2025 the club will begin work on digital design and physical modelling. Students will create architectural models using 2D design software, and then use the laser cutter and plywood.

The students involved in the tree project have been model students, demonstrating dedication, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Their commitment and determination produced high-quality work. They all received 10 House Points.
