Cross Country Success

On Tuesday 12th November, six boys and six girls from each year group were selected to represent Hertswood in the District Cross Country Championship. Being selected is already something to be proud of, but much more success came on the day.

A huge well done to the Year 9 Boys team who won 1st place, beating out eleven other schools to the top spot! The team (pictured) met with Headteacher, Mr Gillett, this week, to reward them with House Points and Amazon vouchers for their success.

We also congratulate the Year 8 Boys team on taking 3rd place, and the Year 10 Girls on taking 4th. We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part, representing Hertswood wonderfully. As a result of their hard work, the Academy earned an overall 4th place finish, which is an outstanding achievement.
