LIFE Project 2024

Huge congratulations to the group of Hertswood students who successfully completed a challenging four days at Borehamwood Fire Station while participating in the LIFE Project programme.

The project is based around students taking on the challenging role of a firefighter. They were put to the test of extinguishing fires, performing search and rescue, and responding to crises in order to ensure safety. To successfully pass this course, the group had to demonstrate bravery, quick decision making, and the ability to follow instructions. They managed to show a lot of resilience in a wide array of high-risk scenarios.

Well done to the students on their successes, and our thanks to the staff at Borehamwood Fire Station for their work providing students this fantastic opportunity.
