Sports Day 2024

This Wednesday saw our 2024 Sports Day, and with great weather plus the efforts of many staff and students, it was a fantastic event to mark the final week of the school year.

The morning included team sports -- football, basketball, rounders, dodgeball, table tennis and dance. Students competed within their year groups on behalf of their House. Students also took part in a Sports Day quiz across their year.

In the afternoon, students and staff made their way to our field for a full range of athletics events, to earn some final points for each House towards the House Cup, and earn gold, silver and bronze medals in each year group.

Students showed great team spirit as well as individual effort. The atmosphere through the entire day was incredibly positive, and with the results from all events tallied up, the rankings were unbelievably close! We are delighted to congratulate Somerville on their overall win with 230 points, closely followed by Cavendish and Nuffield tied for second place with 220 points.

Overall Sports Day Results:

• 1st - Somerville (230 points)
• 2nd - Cavendish & Nuffield (220 points)
• 4th - Darwin (190 points)

The PE faculty would like thank the whole school staff for helping to make such a large and complex event possible, but most importantly a huge well done to all students who participated and made it such a great day.
