Week of DT 2024 - Thursday

Thursday in our Week of DT brings us the work of Gabriel and Vasilija, who have worked incredibly hard through their Year 10 Design & Technology course.

Gabriel chose a unique function for his solution to 'Light a Space' -- his design is intended to hold a game controller and a set of gaming headphones, on top of the eyecatching orange tower. He added a drawer to the bottom of the unit to act as a counterweight, and experimented with different finishes for the timber, such as wood stain and varnish.

Vasilija's product was designed to store jewellery, with the addition of a circular acrylic mirror containing individual LED lights which cycle colour on a diode. The lighting choice is extremely effective against the mirrored background.
