Week of DT 2024 - Wednesday

Alexander and Erik are our featured designers for Wednesday of our Week of DT, with some of their work from the year, including their solutions to the design problem 'Light a Space'.

Alexander wanted to design a portable light, and accomplished this with a plywood tower using finger joint construction. He included three translucent sides in different colours, with geometric shapes to give as much light exposure as possible.

Erik's design centred around presenting a recognisable logo, with carefully concealed wiring, and a drawer with its own clever stopping mechanism to prevent it being pulled out entirely.
