With the weather kind to us, we were excited to be able to hold our Sports Day as planned on Tuesday, a great event to mark the final week of the school year.

In the morning, students competed for their House in team sports against their own year group. This included football, basketball, rounders, dodgeball, table tennis and dance. Students also took part in a four-round Sports Day quiz across the year groups.

In the afternoon everyone took to the field, for a full range of athletics events with gold, silver and bronze medals up for grabs in each year group, along with the all important House Points, contributing to the final score in the battle for this year's House Cup.

The whole day had a brilliant atmosphere with a very high level of participation from all year groups. Students displayed amazing effort and resilience in the pursuit of points for their House. This was highlighted by the final athletics results being so close, with Somerville taking the lead at 470 points, but both Darwin and Nuffield both within just three points of them!

Overall Sports Day Results:

  • 1st - Somerville
  • 2nd - Darwin
  • 3rd - Nuffield
  • 4th - Cavendish

The PE faculty would like to say a big thank you to the whole school staff for helping to make such a big event possible, but most importantly a huge well done to all students who took part and made it such a fantastic day.
