Biomimicry in Clocks

In their DT classes our Year 8 students have been exploring the theme of biomimicry in the production of a clock. The groups have learned the stitching techniques of appliqué and embroidery, and put them to excellent use. They also learned how to manufacture a frame with a mitre joint, using production aids such as a mould, jigs and templates.
