New Netball Dresses

Members of our enthusiastic Year 8 Netball team made it their goal for the team to have new netball dresses for their fixtures. Their lead designer, Lowena, with help from her teammates, produced a design for the dress, which they presented to Headteacher, Mr Gilllett last term.

With the help of Mrs Musk, Academy Manager, the girls were able to secure sponsorship to turn their design into reality, thanks to Bouygues, Hertswood's superb facilities management providers. Nikki and Barry from Bouygues visited the school to personally deliver the dresses to the team, as well as five brand new match balls.

"The girls were so excited to receive the dresses, and wore them in a hard-fought game against Bishops Hatfield the very next day. They are proud to have designed the outfits themselves, and they look really smart!" -Miss Tinsley, Head of Girls' PE.
