GCSE Business

GCSE Business allows students to deepen their understanding of how business organisations operate. Students will be equipped to apply, analyse and evaluate their knowledge of business in a number of different contexts ranging from small enterprises to large multinationals and businesses operating in local, national or global markets. The knowledge and skills gained from GCSE Business support students’ entry into employment and other training in specific aspects of business.

A Level Business

At KS5, A-level Business, students study four topics in depth covering a broad range of topics over the course of two years. A Level Business develops and encourages application of business concepts through the use of ‘real world’ examples and scenarios. A Level Business enables students to generate enterprising and creative approaches to business opportunities, problems and issues.

BTEC Business KS4

BTEC Enterprise students study three topics over two years, the course provides students with the opportunity to develop applied knowledge and skills in various areas. Through studying BTEC Business students are provided with the opportunity to develop broad knowledge and understanding of the enterprise sector, and relevant transferable skills such as research, planning, problem solving and communication.

BTEC Business KS5

BTEC Business students will study four topics which are designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and understanding required for a range of roles in organisations within the business sector including business environments, finance, marketing human resources, accounting, marketing and law. Through studying BTEC Business, students are provided with the opportunity to practice and develop their employability skills such as cognitive and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills.
