Free Breakfasts for Those in Need
BackIn partnership with Culinera, our outstanding food providers, we are delighted to announce the provision of a free breakfast for students from families in need of assistance, starting in September 2022.
Mr Gillett recently met with Thomas Pass, Managing Director and secured this provision which will benefit families in difficult circumstances within our local area. Mr Gillett said “With the cost of living crisis at the forefront of our minds, it is extremely important that local organisations work together to help families in need. Students who have a healthy breakfast are also more focussed and are able to achieve more during the school day.”
Reinforcing the importance of breakfast enabling a strong start to the day, Mr Pass said “Breakfast is an extremely important meal as it replenishes the supply of glucose to boost our energy levels and alertness when working. A nutritious breakfast also provides other essential nutrients required for good health and kick-starts your metabolism, giving you fuel to burn throughout the day.”
Mr Gillett added that “Culinera continues to provide an excellent food service for the Academy, and both organisations will strive to do their utmost to help those most in need.” He is pictured above with Thomas Pass, Managing Director of Culinera (right) and Jamie Herbert, Head Chef (left).
Further details will follow soon, including the breakfast offer menu (available from 8:00 - 8.25am each day) and how families in need can access this provision.
