Filming at Sky Studios

Twenty of our Year 9 and 10 students had a fantastic time participating in an engaging 3-hour session at Elstree Sky Studios before summer. Their visit included an insightful tour of the studios where blockbusters like Wicked: For Good and Jurassic World Rebirth were recently filmed, alongside a look into their development offices and an exciting careers challenge quiz.

Working in Sky's cutting-edge XR studio, the group collaborated to produce and post-produce a film pitch they had scripted themselves. Taking on dedicated production roles such as acting, camera operator, director, and stylist, our students demonstrated brilliant teamwork to edit live acting, digital imaging, and soundtracks together seamlessly.

The afternoon wrapped up with an inspiring Q&A session with a member of the studios' 'Future Talent Programme'. The Sky Up team led a truly memorable experience, and our students were immensely proud of their creative output -- they were an absolute credit to themselves and the Academy.
