Elevating our Digital Potential

We are delighted to announce a significant upgrade to Hertswood Academy's network infrastructure, following a successful funding bid to the Department for Education's 'Connect the Classroom' programme in 2025. This achievement allowed us to invest over £150,000 into our technology, with the majority of the installation completed by our IT team over the recent half-term break after many months of planning.

The project introduced a top-tier wireless system designed for maximum reliability and security. This enhanced connectivity provides a robust backbone for our current digital needs and ensures we are well-prepared for future technological advances. We are incredibly grateful to the DfE for enabling this investment in our community.

At Hertswood, we remain committed to using technology effectively to support teaching and learning. With every student offered a one-to-one device and access to a variety of online platforms, these upgrades demonstrate our continued focus on preparing our students for the modern workforce.
