New Student Council
Back
Our Student Council came together before the half-term break for their first official meeting of the year, introducing a new structure with a nominated representative from every registration group. This exciting change ensures every student's voice can be heard.
To mark their new responsibilities, all representatives proudly received an official pin badge. Our youngest reps in Year 7 were presented with their badges directly by Headteacher, Mrs Gill, who took the time to congratulate them and hear their initial ideas for their important new roles.
The Student Council is led by our Sixth Form Leadership Team, with the meeting run by our Student Council Chair and Head Students. They guided the representatives through group discussions, giving students time to consider how they can help make Hertswood an even better place, before an open discussion.
Ideas flowed readily, touching upon future school trips, new sports equipment, exciting House and charity events and competitions, our plans for Christmas activities, and future Culture Days. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and commitment shown by our new council members!
