Biology Olympiad

Congratulations to the Year 13 students who at the end of last year completed the prestigious British Biology Olympiad! The group included a Silver Award winner (in the top 10% across the country!), as well as an impressive nine students earning Bronze Awards or Commendations!

The competition is designed to challenge and stimulate students with an interest in Biology, to epand and extend their talents. It involves test papers in exam conditions, presenting students with topics and ideas they are not familiar with, forcing them to use their problem solving skills and understanding of core principles.

Executive Headteacher, Mr Gillett, proudly visited the students to hear their thoughts about the event and to present them with their awards.
